Book Summary

None of us can read, watch, and listen to everything we’d like to.  The summaries include a brief introduction and then excerpts from the book.

Marriage and Other Acts of Charity by Kate Braestrup

Ms. Braestrup believes that love—agape, caritas love—is the purpose and meaning of life.

Be as loving as you can, as often as you can, for as many people as you can, for as long as you live.  Why should you do this?  Because.

But she doesn’t have simplistic ideas about love; the book is  an examination of the how challenging it is to live agape/caritas in daily life as well as in romantic love.
